Albertina

Albertina is an Old Style serif typeface originally designed by Chris Brand and published through Monotype in 1965. Brand set out to create a typeface based off calligraphic principles but many compromises were made to the design to make it compatible with Monotype’s currently available typesetting technology. Years later, a digital version of Albertina was created by Frank Blokland. This new version was based off the original, uncompromised designs of Chris Brand and retains more of the intended calligraphic feel.
