Brothers is a typeface designed by John Downer and released through Emigre in 1999. The design was inspired by lettering found on The Cole Brothers traveling circus shows from the early 1900s. Brothers contains a special “Word Logos” style that includes specially designed words like “and”, “for”, “with”, and “No”, which add a retro nostalgia making this font associated with “hipster” design.
