FF Scala

FF Scala is an Old Style serif typeface designed by Martin Majoor. It was published through FontFont in 1991 and was their first serious, fully-featured text face release. The design features prominent rectangular serifs, low stroke contrast, open apertures and a large x-height which makes it excel as a text face. The family is available in two weights with matching italics as well as a condensed cut that is useful for headlines. A companion sans-serif version, FF Scala Sans, was published in 1992.
