National 2 is a sans-serif typeface designed by Kris Sowersby and published through Klim Type Foundry in 2017. It is a complete overhaul of the original National family released ten years earlier. Every single letter was redrawn with improvements made to weight distribution and curve quality. Sowersby describes the redesign as “a comprehensive expansion of National’s original aesthetic concept.” The new family is available in four widths (normal, narrow, condensed and compressed), each available in eight weights with matching italics.
