Burgess is a Transitional serif typeface designed by Colophon Foundry. The design was inspired by the bold cuts of Times New Roman. The name comes from William Starling Burgess, who some type historians believe had a huge influence on the design of Times. Burgess is available in two weights—regular and bold—each with matching italics.
