Chapeau is a sans-serif typeface designed by Timo Gaessner and released through Swiss foundry Milieu Grotesque in 2010. The design was inspired by a typewritten letter from Johnny Cash that Gaessner found printed on the back of a German compilation album. Chapeau is available in six weights with matching italics, as well as a monospaced version.
