OCR B is a monospaced typeface designed by Adrian Frutiger in 1968 for Monotype. It was created to be easily readable by a computer (OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition). Its sister font, OCR A, was created with the same purpose, however, OCR B was designed to be easier for a human to read.
