Electra is a serif typeface designed by American type designer William Addison Dwiggins. It was released through Linotype in 1935. Dwiggins said he wanted the typeface to have a “warmth” to it while still maintaining an evenness to its letterforms. The cross strokes on the t and f have a distinct slant to them which always jump out at me. Electra is a fairly common body typeface used for books.
