Exchange is a serif typeface designed by Tobias Frere-Jones in 2006. It was commissioned by the Wall Street Journal as a replacement for their DowText font. The design features large ink traps and is intended to be extremely legible at small sizes in a newspaper setting. Although used as a web font on the Wired website, it doesn’t appear to be available to the public as a commercial font.
