Alegreya is an open-source serif typeface designed by Juan Pablo del Peral. It was chosen by ATypI as one of 53 “Fonts of the Decade” at the Letter.2 competition—an impressive accomplishment for a font that is available for free. I rarely see Alegreya used on the web, which is surprising because in my opinion it is one of the absolute best fonts available on Google Fonts.
