Quadraat is a serif typeface designed by Fred Smeijers. Smeijers set out to design a typeface that was “as economical as Times” and “as balanced as Plantin.” In 2011, Fred Smeijers completely reworked the Quadraat family—which now included a sans-serif companion family—redrawing numerous characters and adding additional weights.
