Transport is a sans-serif typeface designed by Margaret Calvert and Jock Kinneir. It was designed between 1957 and 1963 for use on traffic signs in the UK with the purpose of being highly legible to motorists driving at high speeds. The original version of Transport is available in just two weights—medium and bold, however, a new version known as New Transport was developed in 2012 with six available weights.
