Surveyor

Surveyor is a serif typeface family published through Hoefler & Co. in 2013. It was originally designed by Tobias Frere-Jones in 2001 for use in Martha Stewart Living and later expanded upon for its commercial release. On first glance, the design may feel similar to the classic Didone typefaces, however, looking more closely you will notice a less-geometric and more organic, hand-lettered feel. Surveyor is a huge family that is available in five weights—light, book, medium, bold and black—with each weight available in italic, small caps and swash styles. Additionally, all of the aforementioned styles are available in three optical sizes—Surveyor Text, Surveyor Display and Surveyor Fine.
