Vitesse is a geometric slab serif typeface designed by Jonathan Hoefler and Tobias Frere-Jones. It was released through H&FJ (now known as Hoefler & Co.) in 2010. If Sentinel is a slab serif that represents the style of the nineteenth century and Archer represents the twentieth century, then Vitesse is a slab serif that represents the twenty-first century. The design of Vitesse is based off a rounded rectangle shape with a flat top and bottom with gently curved sides. The typeface is available in six weights, from thin to black, each with matching italics.
